Brigadier General (Retired) Rob Wooldridge

BG Wooldridge commissioned through the Army ROTC program at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo (“Cal Poly SLO”) in 1993. He also earned master’s degrees from both Cal Poly SLO and the Army War College in Carlisle, PA. 

BG Wooldridge’s commands include the 100th Troop Command (CA ARNG); 1st Battalion, 143rd Field Artillery Regiment (79th IBCT); and C Battery, 1-143rd Field Artillery (40th DIVARTY).

General Officer assignments include Deputy Commanding General for Support and Deputy Commanding General for Operations, both in the 40th Infantry Division.

His deployments include Operation Uphold Democracy, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Spartan Shield. BG Wooldridge’s active duty assignments prior to joining the National Guard include Fort Sill and Fort Liberty (then Fort Bragg). He is qualified in field artillery, signal, and cyber branches.

BG Wooldridge retired from the military in 2024 and continued his civilian career as a software engineer.  He is married to the former Sarema Pranger of Morgan Hill, CA. The Wooldridges live in Arroyo Grande, CA with two of their three children; their oldest child is a student at Cal Poly, SLO.
